Arrive Sunday in time for your 3 pm Sleep Inn Hotel check-in. You can come earlier that day and explore historic Valley Forge Park, which is just two miles away. That evening we'll convene for a buffet dinner and orientation, followed by a get acquainted informal dance/social at our local studio.
For the next four weekdays, Monday - Thursday, a free buffet breakfast is available in the hotel lobby's adjoining room, from 7:30 - 8:30 am. Class starts promptly at 9 am, and continues to Noon, when a varied sit down lunch buffet is sent in. Afternoon class, with mini-breaks, runs from 1 - 4 pm.
After 4 pm, you're free, and you can explore on your own, the nearby shopping, golf course, park, and many restaurants for dinner. Or you can just relax in the indoor pool + whirlpool spa until 10 pm. For serious shoppers, there's a huge Costco warehouse by the Mall, (if you're a Costco member.)
All rooms have a large TV that includes free HBO, and Internet access, if you bring your laptop PC. In an alcove, off the lobby, there's a PC for your use, if you don't want to bring your own - also free! Despite being within walking distance of the huge and bustling mall area, the Sleep Inn Hotel is tucked in a leafy tranquil side street, and has been highly rated by many recent travelers' reviews.
On Wednesday evening, there is a free light dinner buffet at the hotel, while you finish packing. The last day, Thursday, we wrap up our lessons at 4 pm, and say good-bye. (Note, you will have to check out of the hotel by NOON that day - you can put your luggage in your car, in the close-in lot.)
In the 24 hours of dance classes, six hours/day, Monday - Thursday, you will learn these 12 styles: Waltz, Foxtrot, Slow, Swing, Disco, Rumba, Cha Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Samba, Tango, LineDance This is meant as "Ballroom 101" for beginners, or those with some social dance knowledge. We are not offering Advanced ballroom dance at this time, but will add it next year, if there's enough interest.
Your instructors are: Maria Jacobs, who specializes in ballroom beginners, and has taught over 500 couples to dance. Ms. Jacobs is the owner of Valley Forge Dance School in King of Prussia, and has spent many years teaching all forms of dance to all ages. She performed semi-professionally for the Valley Forge Dance Theatre. More recently, she has taught 3+ years of large group sessions for the Methacton School District, and Cheltenham Adult Night Schools, as well as area senior centers.
Don Nee, who is the owner of Don's Dance World in Lansdowne, PA. Mr. Don has decades of experience in ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, line dancing, and every style of ballroom. He performs for the Valley Forge Dance Theatre and is a popular teacher at ongoing classes at the Phoenixville YMCA.

The Sleep Inn Hotel, near First Avenue and Allendale Road, is 5 minutes from the King of Prussia exits of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, route 422 expressway, and the Schuylkill Expressway, route 76. You'll be a 30 minute drive west of center city Philadelphia, should you wish to tour the Liberty Bell, the Constitution Center, Independence Hall, and the new Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

Valley Forge Dance School is 5 minutes from the intersection of route 202, DeKalb Pike, and Henderson Road. You proceed North on Henderson for 1.5 miles, going past route 23, Valley Forge Road, then make a left at the next light = Beidler Road. Go one more block and make a right at the STOP sign, into our parking lot in front of the strip mall. We're in Sweetbriar Square, next to Screwballs Restaurant and Angelo's Pizza.
